🖤🐟🎭 Burial of the Sardine 2026

Carnival comes to an end with the traditional Burial of the Sardine, a symbolic and humorous event full of community spirit. On Wednesday 18 February at 7:00 pm, Lloret de Mar bids farewell to the festivities with a playful and ironic procession.

The parade will depart from Germans Mariestes Square and head to Plaça de la Vila.

Upon arrival, the following will take place:

• 🏆 Award ceremony for street costumes, school groups, workplaces and Sarau parade prizes

• 📜 Reading of the will

• 💃 Traditional dance

🍽️ Chickpeas and fish will be served to all participants.

🕯️ Mourning attire is required, and participants are encouraged to bring a candle to accompany the procession.
