This sculpture, created by Rosa Serra, was inaugurated on 15 October 2000 to commemorate the International Gathering of FC Barcelona Supporters Clubs in Lloret de Mar.

The ball situated at the top of the monument is a fundamental component which joins together the entire composition and represents both a football, to celebrate the gathering of fan clubs, and a globe, to symbolise Lloret’s standing as tourist destination that attracts visitors from the world over. It is built from blue-coloured bronze, apart from the ball, which is made from stainless steel.
