The South Costa Brava Carnival returns from 17th February to 4th March 2023

The town councils of Blanes, Lloret and Tossa have set a date in the calendar for the celebration of the South Costa Brava Carnival, a landmark event on the Costa Brava. It will be held from 17th February to 4th March 2023. The town councils have already contacted the different groups that will take part in the 2020 edition so that they can start preparing their floats.

The Costa Brava South Carnival will celebrate its tenth edition and is back stronger than ever after the 2021 and 2022 editions were limited by the health regulations of the time, which did not allow large-scale events with a high concentration of people to be held due to the post-pandemic context. It is estimated that, adding the spectators of the three rúas, the Costa Brava South Carnival brings together more than 120,000 people and involves more than 1,000 participants.

The South Costa Brava Carnival will begin in Lloret on Saturday 18th February at 4pm. It will continue on Sunday 19th February, first in Lloret at 12:00 noon and then at 5:00 pm in Blanes; and in Tossa it will take place on Saturday 4th March at 4:30 pm, closing the big parade in all three towns. In addition to the Grand Carnival Parade, the town councils are offering a full programme of different carnival activities during these days, which will be announced shortly along with the official poster for this year’s edition.

The big Carnival Parade will start in Lloret on 📅 Saturday 18 February at 16:00h. It will continue on 📅 Sunday 19 February in Lloret at 12:00h and then at 17:00h in Blanes; and in Tossa it will take place on Saturday 4 March at 16:30h, closing the grand rúa in all three towns. Apart from the Grand Carnival Parade, the town councils offer a full programme of different carnival activities during these days. For example, in Lloret, where we will enjoy:

  Fancy dress competition at the workplace from 10:00h to 13:00h and from 16:00h to 19:00h.
• 📅 Saturday 18 February
  Fancy dress competition in the street from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 16:00h to 19.00h.
