Holy Week in Lloret has a very special flavour… the flavour of traditional bunyols, a typical sweet treat of this season that forms part of the town’s culinary heritage.
As every year, Xino-Xano organises the Good Friday Bunyolada, an open gathering where everyone is welcome to enjoy freshly made bunyols prepared following the traditional recipe.
At 9 a.m., departing from Plaça de la Vila, participants will begin the walk to the Ermita de les Alegries, a local tradition that ends with a tasting of bunyols in this emblematic setting.
The celebration continues on Palm Sunday with the traditional distribution of laurel at Church Square, a symbolic and much-loved act that marks the beginning of Holy Week in Lloret.
A sweet, popular celebration full of traditions that form part of Lloret’s identity.
Don’t miss it!
