SYNOPSIS:

Concert by the Philharmonic Orchestra , made up of 80 people who have received musical training but who are professionally engaged in other fields. The concert is also a tribute to the birth of radio in Catalonia.

The Philharmonic Orchestra, born this year 2024, is made up mostly of around seventy former students of the Isaac Albéniz Music Conservatory of the Diputació de Girona and other people external to the centre. All of them have a professional degree in music, but professionally they work in other areas.

The Philharmonic Orchestra, directed by Lluís Cavalleria, will perform works by F. Gulda, J. Sibelius, E. Grieg, Lv Beethoven and A. Márquez. The line-up will be joined by soloists Ramon Bassal, cello and Xavier Costa, piano. The event will also feature the performance of the soprano Ariadna Vilardaga, accompanied on the piano by Berta Moner.
