Les habitants de Lloret de Mar avaient organis\u00e9 une collecte populaire pour l\u2019acheter mais ils ne r\u00e9ussirent pas \u00e0 regrouper suffisamment d\u2019argent.\r\n\r\nAgust\u00ed Font, maire de Lloret de Mar \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque et cousin de Nicolau Font, se mit \u00e0 chercher une solution et contacta Nicolau, qui vivait alors \u00e0 Cuba o\u00f9 il avait obtenu une grande fortune. Il lui expliqua la situation et Nicolau lui envoya l\u2019argent n\u00e9cessaire.
