The Can Saragossa farmhouse is located on a small hill, surrounded by woodland and gardens. In spring, when the landscape begins to bloom, it’s simply a must-see.

Why visit?

Its walls whisper thousands of stories passed down through generations, and the building conserves the very essence of a modernist home. Don’t miss its floor mosaics, shutters or beautiful facade.

Today, Can Saragossa houses Lloret de Mar’s Iberian world Interpretation Centre, an archaeological museum where you can view excavation sites of Iberian settlements and a collection of images by Joan Llaverías.

Why not rest a while? Just in front, you’ll find a few perfect benches to sit down on. Take a deep breath of fresh air and admire this stunning country home.

Its history

This farmhouse, as its name suggests, was built by the Saragossa family during the rural era of Lloret de Mar; the first records of the house date from 1317. Over time and with increasing economic means, the family adapted the farmhouse to its needs.

In 1954 it was converted into a hotel over 10 years. However, in 1984, the Town Council acquired it and created a museum.
